Choose the activity that matches your experience, not simply the most dramatic photograph. These three ways of exploring the Red Sea involve different equipment, supervision and booking requirements.

Starting at the surface

Snorkelling is a surface activity, but confidence in open water still matters. Explain your swimming ability and ask about flotation support, group supervision and the option to stay aboard. An introductory scuba session uses different equipment and must be arranged with qualified instruction; it is not the same as holding a diving certification.

Booking as a certified diver

Provide your certification and recent diving history to the centre. Agree sites, equipment, group size and any additional requirements before paying. Specialist wreck or deeper dives are separate decisions. Plan the timing of diving, flights and other activities with the centre rather than applying a generic holiday timetable.
