What this website uses
This notice covers both language editions of Visit Sharm El Sheikh. The current public pages do not set advertising or analytics cookies, load advertising pixels or embed booking widgets. A consent banner for optional tracking is therefore not currently used. Technical browser storage supports offline access; technical storage is distinct from an advertising identifier. If optional tracking is introduced, this notice and the relevant controls must be updated before it is activated.
Offline cache: purpose and duration
A service worker stores successful same-origin page and asset responses in browser Cache Storage, under a name beginning with visit-sharm-pwa- (currently visit-sharm-pwa-v2). This can include visited URLs with their search parameters. It supports returning to previously visited content without a connection and does not send the stored copies to an advertising provider. It is activated automatically on supported browsers, even without installing the website as an app. Stored responses are refreshed when revisited online; there is no fixed expiry. They remain until a version update removes them, you clear them or the browser removes them. Each domain has its own storage.
Hotel and excursion partners
Hotel choices are held in the page while you use the filters and may also be carried in the page URL. Stay22 links route hotel and excursion enquiries to external booking services, including GetYourGuide. Those services may use their own cookies and affiliate attribution tools after you open the link. Their consent controls and policies apply on their websites; clearing this website’s offline cache does not clear partner cookies.
