Scope and controller
This notice describes personal data processing on visitsharmelsheikh.com and visitsharmelsheikh.it under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Browsing and security
The hosting infrastructure processes technical connection data, including IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser information, response status and, where supplied by the browser, the referring page. These data deliver pages, diagnose failures and protect the service. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Technical data are necessary to provide the requested page; you do not need an account to browse.
Hotel choices and external bookings
Hotel filters are processed in your browser. Choosing an affiliate booking link sends the selected hotel or destination, travel dates, number of adults and children and any child ages entered to Stay22 and the booking partner. The selected excursion is similarly identified by its booking link. The partner receives connection data when you open its website. This transfer implements the search or booking action you request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Enter only the information needed for your search. This website does not collect payment card details or complete hotel or excursion bookings. Partners process booking and payment information under their own policies.
Email requests
If you email us, we process your address, message and information you choose to provide to reply. The basis is responding to your request or taking steps at your request before a contract (Article 6(1)(b)); for other correspondence, our legitimate interest in managing communications (Article 6(1)(f)). Providing this information is voluntary, but we need a contact address to reply. Please do not send passport copies, payment details or health information in a general enquiry.
Retention and local storage
Server logs are rotated by size, with up to ten rotated files per configured log stream and a rotation threshold of about 10 MB, in addition to the current file. Their time span therefore depends on traffic; there is no fixed day-based expiry in the current configuration. Data needed to investigate an incident or comply with a legal obligation may be retained for that purpose. Correspondence is kept for the time needed to handle the request and any related obligations or claims. Technical offline copies remain in your browser until replaced, cleared by you or removed by the browser. The cookie policy explains how to clear them.
Recipients and international services
Authorised personnel and providers supporting hosting, maintenance and email may access the data necessary for their tasks; authorities may receive data where required by law. Booking platforms are external services with their own privacy responsibilities. Stay22 and GetYourGuide may process data internationally: consult their linked privacy notices for destinations, safeguards, retention and rights before continuing on their services. The public pages do not currently load advertising pixels or analytics trackers. We do not use your browsing data for automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
Your rights
Write to info@doribene.it to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability where applicable, or to object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting prior lawful processing. We reply within one month, subject to the extensions permitted by the GDPR. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante) or another competent supervisory authority. This notice may be updated when the site or its services change.
