The reef is a living environment, not a platform for standing or collecting souvenirs. A thoughtful visit begins before entering the water, with equipment and a route suited to your ability.
In the water
Follow the guide’s entry and exit points and keep enough space from coral to avoid accidental contact with fins. Do not chase or feed marine animals. If you need to rest or adjust equipment, ask the guide where to do so without touching the reef. Choose support and supervision that match your confidence instead of pushing beyond your comfort.
On the boat and on shore
Secure light objects that could blow into the sea and bring waste back for proper disposal. Leave shells, coral and other natural material where they belong. Respect restricted access and the operator’s decision to change a route. A different stop is better than forcing an outing into conditions unsuitable for the group.
