Farsha Café in Sharm el Sheikh: sunset, lanterns and a night by the sea

Journal · 2026-10-12

A guide to the cliffside lounge in Hadaba: where it is, why it appears in so many evening videos and what to check before your visit.

The lounge with the lanterns

If the Sharm video you remember shows a cascade of lights, colourful seating and terraces descending towards the sea, Farsha Mountain Lounge is likely the place. Also known as Farsha Café, it combines a coastal setting with an eclectic collection of objects and antiques. Its appeal is the whole scene: the view, the layered spaces and the change of atmosphere as daylight fades. Plan time to enjoy the setting rather than treating it as a quick photo stop. A social video captures one moment and should not be taken as a promise of the same music, seating or crowd on your evening.

Where Farsha is: Hadaba and Ras Um Sid

Farsha is on Al Bahr Street in the Hadaba area of Sharm el Sheikh, by the Ras Um Sid coastline. It is not at SOHO Square or on the Naama Bay promenade, so check the destination before arranging transport from your resort. Give your driver the full venue name and agree the fare and return arrangements before setting off. Resort locations are spread along the coast; journey time depends on your starting point and traffic. Save the venue location while you have a connection and keep the return pickup point clear.

Sunset and lights: how to plan the evening

Arriving while there is still daylight lets you see the sea and the details of the terraces before the evening lighting becomes the focus. Use the sunset time for the date of your visit as a planning reference, allowing room for transport and waiting. We have not verified a fixed daily lights-on show or a guaranteed switch-on time: do not build your evening around a precise time seen in an old reel. If that moment matters to you, check the venue's current official announcements. The transition from daylight to night is the reason to leave some flexibility in your plan.

Prices, entry and practical checks

Before travelling, check opening hours, entry requirements, reservations and any minimum spend directly with the venue. We do not publish an unverified entry price or drinks menu, because conditions may differ from older posts. Families should confirm the current policy for children and the time they intend to visit. The cliffside setting includes different levels and steps: anyone who needs a step-free route should ask about the actual access arrangements before going. Comfortable shoes are useful for moving around. Read the current menu before ordering and clarify what is included in any quoted amount.

Pair the visit with Hadaba or the Old Market

For a relaxed plan, choose one daytime stop in the Hadaba area and leave the late afternoon for Farsha. Alternatively, make the Old Market a separate part of the evening, with transport planned between the two places; they are not the same venue or a single pedestrian attraction. Avoid fitting a long excursion, sunset, shopping and a club night into one tight schedule. If you want dancing or a dated event after your lounge visit, use our nightlife guide and events page to compare options and then check the organiser's current programme. A venue guide is not a ticket confirmation.

Photos and official updates

The terraces offer many details to photograph, but keep steps and walkways clear and respect other guests. Ask before making someone else the subject of your video, and follow staff directions about filming. For operational updates, start with the official Farsha Mountain Lounge social channels linked below. This is an independent editorial guide: we do not sell admission to Farsha and the venue links below are not affiliate booking offers. Our events page separately identifies dated announcements and items that still need confirmation, helping you plan from current information rather than recycled clips.
