El Tor: the capital of South Sinai
El Tor, also known as Al Tur or Tor Sinai, is on the Gulf of Suez side of the peninsula. Discover a regional city through its waterfront, old harbour district and the setting of Hammam Moussa.

Waterfront and historical quarter
The corniche provides a starting point for discovering the city. The governorate also identifies Tel el-Kilani beside the old port as a historic area with coral-stone houses and religious buildings. Confirm access before planning an interior visit.
Hammam Moussa and practical planning
Hammam Moussa is the spring area associated with El Tor. Verify current access and facilities directly: the governorate’s October 2026 development announcement does not establish that a new visitor complex is open. Combine the city with a western-coast itinerary, allowing proper time for transfers.
